SEMA Show 2015: Denny's Picks
SEMA, a visual orgasm for auto enthusiasts, a designer’s showcase, a builder’s dream, a company’s showroom, and one of Las Vegas’s largest convention.4000 plus cars and hundreds of vendors fill almost every square inch of the convention halls and surrounding parking lots. It’s difficult to see all the action during the four day event, but it didn’t keep the Crew from picking out a few fresh rides that caught our attention. I love import cars, but I am also very much in love with older domestic muscle. The craftsmanship invested into cars 40 to 50 years old or older, have a huge place in my heart.As I cruise miles of the show floor, I set out to find some of my favorite builder’s work, such as the Ringbrothers. Their attention to details always has me in Awww. This 1965 Mustang Fastback shows off Ringbrothers production pieces which are available for purchase. The details into this Mustang are worth taking a closer look at.
Another awesome ride is Andy Williamson’s 56 Chevrolet Bel Air. To the naked eye, it has a patina exterior, Vortech Supercharged LS3 engine, sharp engine bay, and sick interior. What can not be seen, can be touched. Grazing your fingers over the finish, one will notice that it's been completely coated with matte clear, preserving its age in all its glory. Even large rust divots were cleared to a smooth touch. A lot of time was invested into the body work, despite the visual appearance. 
The secret gas door and hidden filler pipe adds fine detail into Andy’s Bel Air.
Skipping to an American Hot Rod is the M&M Special, a 1927 Ford Roadster. A gleaming 276, tan leather, and chrome adds an elegant touch to a well executed Ford.
Datsun have been on my mind ever since I purchased a 1970 Datsun 521 pickup earlier this year. Since then, I’ve set my eyes on a 240Z and a Roadster, a 67 to be exact. Very similar to this one in Garrett Turbo’s booth. This lightweight '67 has a built SR20VE motor which is turbocharged!
Panasport wheels are a perfect fit for the Roadster.
If you love engines, then you’ll love this black Datsun 240Z sporting the ultra rare TC24B1 with 50mm Solex carbs. This set up puts out 376HP and 281 ft. lbs. of torque on California 91 octane, dyno’ed by our friends at Z Car Garage in San Jose.
My brothers at Tjin Edition displayed a few builds this year, six to be exact. They are Fortune’s Ford Fiesta, Gene’s Explorer. Neil’s Honda HR-V, Hyundai Genesis, Ford Edge, and Ford F150 built for Universal Technical Institute.
Vortech Superchargers had this beautiful 55 Chevy 150.
Our friends at Driving Line had an impressive set up, with Robert Chew's revamped Rocket Bunny NSX, now with a white coat and TEs. The much anticipated debut of Sung Kang’s Rocket Bunny 240Z also made an appearance.
Another popular appearance are the Rocket Bunny S14's.
And of course the RWB's. Vincent from iForged displayed an arsenal of them.
Lastly, I wasn’t able to get a good picture of Ryan’s Type-R but really proud of his accomplishments on finishing Top 10 during SEMA’s Battle of the Builders.
